Top 20 Tasks: Spring Cleaning



Are you ready for the spring weather? We certainly are! Along with spring weather comes spring cleaning. It is a perfect time to do those tasks that we all avoid the rest of the year, but are so important for the maintenance of your home. There are endless lists and suggestions for tasks that could be on your spring cleaning list, but we narrowed it down to twenty things.


  • Wash Baseboards, door ceilings, window sills, doors, and walls.

  • Vacuum and clean air vents and ceiling fans.

  • Wash drapes/curtains and dust blinds.

  • Clean windows and screens - inside and out.

  • Dust and shine overhead lights.

  • Dust and/or vacuum light fixtures and lamp shades.

  • Clean out the pantry.

  • Clean the kitchen cabinets.

  • Deep clean oven.

  • Vacuum coils in the fridge and sweep behind the fridge.

  • Deep clean fridge inside - wash outside.

  • Vacuum all upholstery.

  • Dust furniture and fixtures.

  • Dust and wash any mirrors, frames, and decorative items.

  • Wash all throw pillows and blankets.

  • Vacuum and shampoo carpets.

  • Wash all bedding, mattresses, and pillows.

  • Flip Mattress - if using a pillow top, rotate the mattress.

  • Wash bath mats.

  • Clean and/or replace shower liners and shower curtains.
