Wisconsin is great because we really get a taste (or a feast) of all four seasons. Winter (albeit long) sure is pretty, spring features some gorgeous blooms, and summer is warm and sunny and so appreciated. But fall – fall is when Wisconsin really shines. The blue skies, crisp air, freshly-harvested rolling hills, and stunning red, yellow and orange hues in the trees are right out of a painting. Since the season isn’t long, it’s important to get out and enjoy it while it’s here! Here are a few places you can go in the Madison area to enjoy all of the fall festivities:
Treinen Farm Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch Stop by this Lodi farm on weekends between August 31 and November 10 for an award-winning corn maze, horse-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin picking and acres of adventures!
Schuster’s Farm If you’re into adorable farm animals, homemade treats, corn mazes and hayrides, Schuster’s in Deerfield is the place for you! Stop by any day between September 21 and November 2 for all the fall fun!
Enchanted Valley Acres This Cross Plains attraction features two giant slides (over 200 feet long!), wagon rides, an obstacle course and many other family-friendly activities perfect for a beautiful fall day!
Waldvogel’s Farm One of the first things that comes to mind when we think “fall” is sweet treats made with apples, cinnamon, caramel, and pumpkin. Waldvogel’s in Juneau offers an abundance of fall treats, including made-to-order caramel apples! Plan a trip to Waldvogel’s any day between September 21 and October 28.
Eplegaarden Eplegaarden in Fitchburg is an old-fashioned apple orchard with self-pick apples, raspberries and pumpkins, plus apple butter, fresh cider and other fun items to put you right in the fall spirit. Don’t miss its various happenings on select weekends throughout the season!
Door Creek Orchard This Cottage Grove apple orchard features more than 80 different apple varieties, which can be picked between July and November, plus grapes, pears, and apple cider, honey and more!
Eugster’s Farm Market and Petting Farm Head just south of Madison to Stoughton for a full petting farm, plus apple picking and pumpkins! Visitors will also enjoy fall festivals, special events, and homemade treats like ice cream, pickles, jams, jellies and more.
Busy Barn Adventure Farm Open weekends between September 21 and October 27, this Fort Atkinson farm offers a day full of fun, including hayrides, pumpkin picking, gourds, sunflowers, straw bales, a corn maze, slides and tunnels, and so much more!
Skelly’s Farm Market Skelly’s is a popular destination for many each fall. With corn mazes, wagon rides, an apple cannon, apple cider and pumpkin donuts, caramel apple oatmeal cookies, apple and pumpkin pie, gallons of apple cider and a signature flavor of coffee, there are so many reasons to love this Janesville farm.
Sutter’s Ridge This charming Mt. Horeb farm features a plentiful apple crop, cider donuts, pumpkin bars, a corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides and a children’s activity area. Stop by Thursday-Sunday in September in October!
