First, interest rates are low. Our economy is becoming more efficient – it’s been able to raise our standard of living without much risk of inflation, and in-turn, keeps interest rates low and drives productivity and wealth. While it’s not predicted that these will rise immediately, things can always change quickly due to many factors. But it’s very likely that it’s cheaper to buy a house now than it will be in one year from now. So when it comes to interest rates, now is the time to buy.

Secondly, competition is down this fall. If you were discouraged this spring with too much competition and your offers not getting accepted, the market has cooled down over the summer. Sellers who failed to sell during the spring might be more willing to sell for a better value before winter. Now is a great time to make an offer!
